Laser Therapy

Laser Therapy at Reed Chiropractic Clinic

Patient at Reed Chiropractic Clinic in need of laser therapy

At Reed Chiropractic Clinic in Solon, we offer low level laser therapy (LLLT) for the healing and rehabilitation of surgical sites and injuries. LLLT utilizes a specific wavelength of light, which is very near infrared, to stimulate healing and provide pain relief.

The Benefits of Cold Laser Therapy for Rehabilitation

Cold laser therapy is non-invasive and drug-free, and there is no need to prepare the area by shaving the hair. LLLT can be used to heal sports injuries and repetitive motion injuries, and it can even be used for rehabilitation from surgery. LLLT with our Solon and Twinsburg Chiropractor is beneficial for healing knee, ankle, back, neck, shoulder, elbow and wrist injuries, and it can be used to manage arthritis pain.

How LLLT Therapy Works

When the light reaches your soft tissues, it stimulates them on a cellular level. Within each of your cells is an area that is light receptive. This area takes the light and turns it into energy. This helps the individual cells accept nutrients from the blood and release waste products at a faster rate. The laser light also slightly warms the area, which helps reduce inflammation.

LLLT Treatments at Our Solon and Twinsburg Chiropractic Clinic

Our chiropractor, serving Solon and Twinsburg, can help you feel better faster after a sports injury or surgical procedure. During your appointment, your injury will be evaluated, and the LLLT treatment wand will be placed over your injury. The light from the laser will penetrate into your soft tissues to stimulate healing and reduce inflammation while providing you with pain relief.

It usually takes between eight and 30 sessions before the full benefits are realized. Our Solon chiropractor can tell you more about your LLLT rehab at your first appointment. To schedule an initial appointment to see if LLLT would provide you with pain relief and help you with your rehabilitation from surgery, call us at 440-248-2866.
